Recording blog
Posted by admin | Filed under Blog

We did some recording a couple of weeks ago and thought we’d do a little blog on it to keep you all informed on how it went, and show you some video clips we took. Pink Floyd actually built the studio post Dark side of the moon and interestingly Joy Division also recorded the album ‘closer’ there so there really was history between the walls. The gear was top quality, Fabien recorded on a 60s Ludwig black oyster kit. Alrick and I recorded into the beast of a Marshall amp JTM45/10 (pictured above). It’s a 40th anniversary re-issue of what’s also known as the 100 watt stack. It had a real ballsy, growley, roar of a tone so we’re looking forward to hearing the recordings once they’ve been mixed. Bleddyn brought his gallian-krueger bass amp down for his groovey lines.
These are the tracks we’ve nailed down:
Synth intro
Time Vampires
Count to ten
Primary Victim
Check out this video clip of Bleddyn recording his bass-line in ‘Primary Victim.’
This is Twisty recording her part on ‘Primary Victim’ through the old Marshall beast.
We will be looking to release a digital EP with these tracks on in the very near future so stay tuned!!!
After they are mixed these will be FREE to everyone who’s on our mailing list so if you haven’t joined up yet, here’s the link to hook it up below!
Until then, come see us live TONIGHT at the Bull and Gate in Kentish Town. Onstage at 10.30!
Much love to you all,
DH

Dangerous Heresy in Volume Magazine blog!

This article has now expired but was as follows: ‘Equally inspired by Queens of the stone age, TV on the radio, Jeff Buckley and Interpol, South London based band DH mix electronic, dance, post-punk and alternative rock elements into their music. Angular guitar riffs are carefully blended with pop structures to give solid, groove driven rock. Art noise synthesisers and powerful vocals are combined in songs, with the bands experimental approach and desire not to conform to just one genre evident throughout their eclectic set. Electrifying live shows and energetic performances are establishing DH as a compelling band on the new music scene.’ Volume Magazine
